Physicians talk about their
experiences at the Vein
Training Institute

Mario O. Kapusta, MD

Houston, Texas

"The training my office staff and I received at the Alabama Vascular and Vein Center was invaluable. We spent a total of six days, over two sessions, and learned every aspect of the medical, clerical and technical issues associated with organizing our center. Furthermore, Dr Kingsley and staff were available for follow up questions, a service they still provide four years later. Without their assistance, our learning curve would have been long and painful."

"My training with Dr. Kingsley was extremely worthwhile and valuable. I am implementing many of the techniques he taught in my own practice and have seen my vein business really take off."

i"My experience with Alabama Vascular and Vein Clinic was all positive. Watching Dr. Kingsley perform his venous evaluation, determine the source of the pathology, and execute a treatment plan was extremely helpful to my understanding of venous pathology. Obtaining vascular access under ultrasound guidance definitely has a 'learning curve'. The mastering of ultrasound to determine anatomy and pathophysiology is what I find most interesting, and the way they do it, made me all the more intrigued. Dr. Kingsley along with Dr. Isobe and Sylvia do a great job of teaching and sharing their knowledge with other interested physicians. From duplex diagnosis, endothermal ablation, ambulatory phlebectomy, ultrasound guided sclerotherapy, vein light guided sclerotherapy, mixing liquid and foam sclerosants, capital equipment purchases, ordering disposable supplies, medical forms, consents, and medical billing compliance issues, the Alabama Vascular and Vein Clinic is teaching it all. My experience there inspired me to become a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation by the American Registry of Medical Diagnostic Sonographers, and then to prepare for and become certified by the American Board of Phlebology. I will continue to use the clinic as my primary resource for practical clinical guidance."

Dr. Ingram "My experience at the training course was phenomenal. It allowed me to fine tune my skills and open my own vein practice. It not only taught technical skill but also billing and office set up. We've also made some great lifelong contacts!"

Peter Miles, MD

Alberta, Canada

"I met Dr. Kingsley at a vein conference and learned that he has had a great deal of experience and directed ongoing research in treating venous disease. He was very accommodating with my request for training. I spent a week of intensive training with him and his staff and learned clinical appraisal, practical use of ultrasound, and options for surgical, and minimally invasive treatment of venous disease. His nursing and technical staff were highly competent and keen to teach and were fun to work with, increasing the value of the experience. I got plenty of hands on experience with all aspects of investigations and treatments he offers, and I found Dr. Kingsley to be a patient and knowledgeable teacher. I have adopted this training in my practice and have recommended him to colleagues who likewise have found their training experience valuable."
